Row River Fire Response works
to bring neighbors together, creating connected, safe, and resilient communities through education, prevention, and preparedness. We support effective emergency response efforts and provide programs that enhance the well-being and quality of life in the Row River Valley. |
We have a cost-saving opportunity for you!As part of this mission, RRFR is happy to remind you of this opportunity for homeowners to help safeguard their properties against wildfire risks.FREE
DEFENSIBLE SPACE CLEARING! The State of Oregon Department of Forestry has identified 'High Hazard Zones' in Wildland-Urban Interface areas, including our community. With nearly all our residents living in moderate to high zones, it’s more important than ever to take steps toward wildfire prevention. Thanks to grant funds we’ve secured, we’re offering free defensible space clearing for interested homeowners. This program is voluntary, and filling out our online interest form places you on our list to be considered for funding. While we cannot guarantee
funding for all applicants this year, your information will be kept for future opportunities. How It Works:- Complete the Homeowner Interest Form – There’s no obligation, and it takes just a few minutes.
- We’ll Contact You – If selected, we’ll reach out to schedule an assessment.
- Stay on the List – If we can’t assist this year, you’ll remain on our list for future funding.
Why Participate?Defensible space is the buffer you create between your home and the brush, trees, shrubs, or any wildland area that surrounds it. Proper defensible space can slow or stop the spread of wildfire and help protect your home, and contributes to the safety of our entire community.
Together, we can build a stronger, safer Row River Valley. If you have any questions or need assistance with the form, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Email us at info@rowrivervalley.org Can't wait to hear from you!

We are especially grateful to Chief Wooten and South Lane County Fire & Rescue (SLCFR)for their extraordinary mentorship and unwavering support. SLCFR stepped in to provide critical leadership, taking full custody of the firefighter and administrative operations and serving as the de facto fire chief for the Row River community prior to the official vote. Their dedication not only ensured the continuity of
essential services but also laid the groundwork for the establishment of the Row River Rural Fire Protection District (RRRFPD).
